noun a movement based on a system of exercises by which the individual seeks to approach a state of perfection through divine power.
– origin contr. of Javanese susila budhi dharma, from Sanskrit suśīla ‘good disposition’ + buddhi ‘understanding’ + dharma ‘religious duty’.
