usage: In informal, usually spoken, language innit has developed into a general-purpose ‘filler’ which is used to seek confirmation or merely for emphasis, as in I play it quite often, innit? (meaning ‘don't I?’) and you'd better hurry on over, innit? (meaning ‘hadn't you?’).
