- 1 a large public garden in a town, used for recreation.
- 2 a large enclosed area, typically with woodland and pasture, attached to a country house.
- 3 an area devoted to a specified purpose: a wildlife park.
- 4 an area in which vehicles may be parked: a coach park.
- 1 bring (a vehicle) to a halt and leave it temporarily, typically in a car park or by the side of the road.
- 2 informal deposit and leave in a convenient place until required: park your bag by the door.
